Guest rules
These rules have been put together to ensure you have the most agreeable stay all the while remaining respectful of others.
The house isn't open to the general public, nor is it a hotel. No one may access the house other than our guests.
Please bear in mind that this is a family home, and there might be other guests, so please feel free to enjoy all communal areas but please be mindful of others' need for privacy. ​

Check in :
In order to be able to welcome you in the best way, we do check-ins between 4.00pm and 7.00pm. Late or early check-ins must be discussed and agreed upon with us beforehand.

Check out :
On the last day, check-out is expected around 10.00am. As we do not operate as a hotel, we need sufficient time to prepare the room for our next guests.

Breakfast
Breakfast is served inside between 08.00am and 10.00am. If you must leave early in the morning, you can use the appliances available in the kitchen (kettle, coffee machine, & so on)​ to make yourself breakfast.
​
Bedrooms :
It is strictly forbidden to eat in the bedrooms or to wash your clothes.
If you have a washing “emergency” please come to us, we will find a solution together.
A flat-screen TV, with Netflix, is available for our guests in every bedroom. Please note that the sound must be lowered as of 10.00pm.
You may use the wifi for free, but please note that downloading copyrighted material is illegal and forbidden.
To help our cleaning lady, we would highly appreciate it if you could put away your clothes and personal belongings. Please note that big damages will be charged to the guests.
Please also note that the owners of Villa Oceane cannot be held responsible in the case of theft or disappearing belongings within the bedrooms, communal areas or in the parking lot (please be extra mindful with jewelry, electronic devices, money, cards.. ect)
The client agrees to leaving the bedroom in perfect condition and to point out and cover financially the cost of any damage that might have occurred during the stay.

The keys
​If the keys go missing, we will apply a fixed rate of 70e compensation per key.

General Clauses :
The whole house is non-smoking, this also includes the bedrooms. We have the right to revoke access to the BnB if this rule isn’t complied with, and this without having to compensate you financially in any way.

Alcohol may not be purchased to or for minors under 18 of age.
​
We would kindly ask our guests to wear appropriate clothing at all times and to wear shoes when they are moving about the house or within the communal areas.
Children on the property are their parents’ responsibility.
The kitchen area may be used freely by our guests. We kindly ask you to leave the area the same way you found it : clean and clutter free.

Theft and accidents : the owners cannot be held responsible in the case of theft, or damage (including physical or personal injuries) during your stay.
​Pool rules :

The pool is not under any form of surveillance.

This is a family area, it may only be accessed by members of the owners’ family and guests. No-one outside of these are authorized on site.

If children are to use the pool, it is under the sole surveillance and responsibility of their parents.

Loud interaction and water games are not permitted in or around the pool, nor is jumping in.

The swimming pool is open from 10.00am to 08.00pm, all users agree to : taking a shower before going into the water and avoid going into the water right after having put suncream or oil on.

To use sandals or other pool-appropriate footwear in and around the pool (no city shoes)

To use swimwear dedicated to swimming.

Not to bring any food or drinks in or around the swimming pool.

Anyone using the swimming pool must carry a Third Party Liability legal protection.

The owners may, if the aforementioned rules are repeatedly broken, use the right to restrict your access to the pool, without any financial compensation to be expected.

​Animals and pets :
We are very sorry but we are unable to allow pets and animals on the property for hygiene reasons and because of compatibility issues with our own pets. Please note the aforementioned may not be used as a valid reason to exchange or cancel your booking and no financial compensation may be expected on our side.

Ecotourism :
The owners of Océane are very sensitive to the impact they are having on our planet and they would like to help protect the environment by reducing the villa’s carbon footprint.
Small changes can go a long way ! Would you be so king in helping us by :

not leaving any unnecessary appliance plugged in or light switched on if you have left the room.

not leaving the water running and reducing your water consumption in the shower
-
not throwing anything else but hygienic paper in the toilet. All other items may be thrown in the bin.

not using all the towels if there is no need to :)

Please only use the bath towels for the swimming pool
In order to reduce our water use, linen and towels are changed once per 1 week.
