Why a Bnb ?
We moved to Portugal for work and fell in love with Sitio in the Nazaré municipality and its beautiful ocean-side views.
We wanted to share this experience with you and have you discover this beautiful area of Portugal.
We look forward to having you stay here in an exclusive, yet simple and friendly atmosphere.
Please note however that we do not operate as a hotel, it is of the utmost importance to us that you feel perfectly at home here !
What will you find here ?
You will be staying in a private BnB space.
Private entrance, private parking : you will be in our home, but within your own personal space.
You will be staying in a bedroom with a private bathroom. You can use all communal areas, which will be shared with our other hosts.
You can access the fitness room, the swimming pool .
What can I do in and around Nazaré ?
Nazaré is situated on the Silver Coast in between Lisbon and Porto. It is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and huge beaches.
Nazaré is famous for its surf spots and its incredible waves. This is because of Nazaré’s canyon, many kilometers long and about 5000m deep which narrows down to 50m closer to the shore stopping the waves in their tracks and creating huge waves that can sometimes hit 30m high.
In winter this spot is a must for experienced surfers who, up for the challenge, ride these water beasts. Many competitions take place in a friendly and fun environment in front of thousands of on-lookers.
You won’t be bored here ! Churches, paved streets, Sitio Square, beach promenades, the forest and the huge beaches, the many bars and restaurants : everything here is easily accessible by foot.
If you like ancient buildings, you can visit many monasteries and castles : Bathala Monastery and Alcobaca Monastery, the Tomar Convent, the Leiria Castle, the Obidos Castle and bastion, the castles palace of Sintra, the cities of Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra, Aveiro, ect. You will have plenty to see and plenty to do !
Our Bnb is respectful of our planet
Portugal is a leading country in renewable energies and environmental respect.
Our house have panel energy and there are many wind turbines in this region. You may see them from your bedroom, the living-room or the terrasse.
Beach cleaning sessions set up by the municipality and charities often take place in and around Nazaré.
In order to help with these efforts, the swimming pools are heated by the solar panels set up on the roof.
We would like you to be mindful of these efforts and help us preserve our beautiful planet with a few simple yet very important steps :
- Save water
- Sort your trash (different bins are available in the kitchen area), do not throw anything on the beach or in the forest…
- Switch off the lights on your way out.
- Only throw toilet paper in the toilets. Anything else should go in the bin.
The planet and the ocean must be preserved for our children. These small efforts can really make a difference.
